A usually busy fast-food restaurant in Oklahoma City was closed after a 16-year-old employee allegedly killed a co-worker.
The entrances to the Arby’s were blocked and cars were turned away during the lunch hour.
It all started with an argument between two workers at Arby’s on MacArthur Boulevard and Memorial Road in Oklahoma City around 7 p.m. Monday evening.
“At some point, during this argument, one of the employees went out to his car, retrieved a handgun, and came back in shot the other,” said Msgt. Gary Knight, OCPD.
D’Quan Brown, 28, later died from his injuries. The alleged shooter, who is 16 years old, took off after the shooting but police later arrested him.
“It’s just unfortunate. It’s just an unfortunate thing to happen,” said Chris Holmes, a witness.
Nearby witnesses told KOCO 5 there isn’t much crime in the area and they’re in shock because it happened so fast.
Arby’s told KOCO 5 in a statement that they’re working with authorities as they continue to conduct their investigation.
