Hui No Ke Ola Pono now is accepting applications for a massage therapy licensing program offered in partnership with UH Maui College’s Office of Extended Learning & Workforce Development.
The cost of tuition, textbooks and supplies are sponsored by Hui No Ke Ola Pono’s Kealaho’imai program, which promotes Native Hawaiian workforce development in the healthcare and wellness industries.
The 14-month long program will begin Jan. 31, 2022 and end March 29, 2023. All classes will be held in-person on the UH Maui College campus during Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6-9 p.m. and on Saturdays. The part-time program involves a weekly commitment of about 20 hours, including attending 11 hours of classes and dedicating an estimated 9 hours of additional study time.
Curriculum will cover:
Graduates will take the State of Hawaiʻi massage therapist licensing exam after completing the program.
To qualify for the program, individuals must be 18 or older and pass an application process that includes a personal statement, two reference letters, an interview. criminal history clearance and the college’s health clearances (provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, TB clearance and immunizations for MMR, Varicella and Tdap).
