PALM HARBOR, Fla.- The No. 7 Coastal Georgia men's golf team finished tied for ninth out of 17 teams in the Innisbrook Invitational hosted by Dalton State on Monday, Sept. 26 at the Copperhead Course. The event was shortened to just one day and 36 holes with the threat of Hurricane Ian affecting the area.
It was a tough day for the field as only three players recorded under-70 rounds. 
The Mariners shot a 294 and were in fifth place after the first round but followed that up with a 310 causing them to fall four spots.
No. 1 Keiser won the event after shooting 576, seven strokes better than the second-place team. Jacob Thomas from USCB finished atop the competition after shooting a 139, just one stroke better than the second-place finisher. 
Keiser was followed by Southeastern, Eastern Florida St., Wayland Baptist and USCB, Campbellsville, St. Thomas, Truett-McConnell, Dalton St. and Coastal Georgia, Point, Reinhardt, Webber International, Loyola-New Orleans, SCAD-Savannah, Cumberland and Tennessee Wesleyan.
