The Board of Education wants to hear from you! To ensure that every Tulsan is appropriately represented by the Tulsa Board of Education, state law requires that school districts complete a redistricting process every decade after the completion of the United States Census. The Board is currently considering two potential maps that were developed based on community feedback. You can share your feedback by emailing your board member. Visit www.tulsaschools.org/board and click on “Meet the Board” to find contact information.
Staying safe during the winter sports season. We are excited to cheer on our student athletes during the winter sports season while making sure that our students, spectators, and staff members stay safe. We have had safety requirements in place for all of our athletic events for many years. Click here for details about safety at athletic events.
MAP assessment and why it’s important. Students will take MAP reading and math assessments Jan. 11-27. The MAP Growth assessment will allow students, families, and teachers to see how students are growing academically. It will identify student strengths and show areas that have opportunity for growth. The MAP Growth assessment is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and achievement levels. Check each parent update throughout December to fully understand the importance of MAP for your students academic growth.
Get bus schedule updates at your fingertips! The SafeStop app provides real-time updates on each school bus including current location and expected arrival time. You can download the SafeStop app from the App Store or Google Play; click here for setup instructions. Once enrolled, you can track your child’s bus routes in real time. Contact the transportation department at 918-833-8100 for questions or visit www.tulsaschools.org/bus.
Coats for Kids (and adults too)! Trav’s Coats for Kids is once again helping provide free winter coats to local children and families. If you need a coat – for a child or for yourself – you can visit the following locations to pick one up free of charge until Jan. 14:
Please note: Both locations will be closed Dec. 19 through Jan. 2.

Thanks to federal recovery funds, we were able to invest in air quality improvements in our buildings, Ready. Set. Summer! programming, and enrichment programs to address learning loss. Learn more about ESSER (federal recovery) funding here.
