Note: The Brown County 8th-grade girls’ basketball team defeated Abingdon-Avon at the Abingdon-Avon Sectional to advance to the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 8-2A State Tournament at Havana. Brown County (23-2) will take on Mount Pulaski (22-1) in the first quarterfinal game at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10. The winner will take on either Colfax Ridgeview or Nokomis in the state semifinals at 5 p.m. Saturday.
