(KNSI) – An attorney with a St. Cloud law firm is a candidate to serve as a judge on Minnesota’s Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals.
Thomas Christenson is a workers’ compensation attorney and shareholder with Quinlivan & Hughes in St. Cloud.
Christenson owns a firm representing workers’ compensation claims across Minnesota. He is also involved in civil actions in Minnesota state and federal courts. He’s also licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, North Dakota and federal courts.
According to a press release from the governor’s office, Christenson is a frequent lecturer and educator on workers’ compensation topics. The Commission on Judicial Selection is recommending Christenson and two other candidates for consideration to fill a vacancy left after the retirement of the Honorable Gary M. Hall.
The other two candidates are Kathryn Carlson, who has been in private practice since 1993, practicing solely in workers’ compensation. She is currently an attorney at Hipp Carlson Law, PLLC, in Long Lake. And Sandra Grove, a workers’ compensation judge at the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings in St. Paul. She’s been a judge for nine years.
