STATE COLLEGE — The State Theatre wants to invite everyone for a new twist on the classic holiday tale, “The Nutcracker.”
After being gifted with an enchanted Nutcracker doll, Clara is taken through a dream-like tale of battling soldiers and mice, a snowy journey and finally to the Land of Sweets and Flowers, where she is delighted by entertainers from across the land.
Performers ranging in age from toddlers to adults will complement the traditional ballet with a variety of dance styles as Centre Dance adds its own special spin on this timeless story.
“The Nutcracker” will be performed at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, as well as at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17.
