Urgent message for social grant beneficiaries – South Coast Herald

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has announced that it has identified potential fraud cases relating to  some 2800 accounts – 2 200 from different banks and 600 from the post office – nationwide.
In a statement, the agency said it had advised both the banks and the post office to put stop payments on these accounts, resulting in the affected accounts being frozen. The banks and the post office have confirmed that these accounts will not be able to transact.

Beneficiaries who are unable to access their grant money for any reason are advised to:
The agency has assured all beneficiaries that they will get their social grant for July as officials are ready to assist them.
